ONE HOT MAMA-TO-BE [Monica Brown, Pensacola Photographer]

I just love the energy of an expectant mother.

How her smile warms you to the core.

How, if you are a mom already, it brings back that time so vividly.

I had the pleasure of photographing [S] and Dad-to-be [M] at lovely Ft. Pickens. Have I ever mentioned how I love that location? How the light is just SO yummy? How beautiful natural Florida is? Thought so. :) It is the perfect backdrop to almost anything...and [S] TOTALLY ROCKED IT.

Something about this gives me the warm fuzzies. Holding hands is so sweet. Not in a [cute] sort of way, but in a [I will love you forever] sort of way.

I can barely wait to meet Baby [C] and capture her first days - The first days that [S] and [M] will have become a [family]. I know I have said this before, but watching a [couple] transform into a [family] is one of the most beautiful experiences.

Congratulations again you two :)

IN ANTICIPATION [Monica Brown, Pensacola Photographer]

Soon two will be three.

"Us" will have a different meaning.

I am so thankful to have been a part of [J] and [S]'s day. It was SUPER windy out. But I love how it translated into gorgeous blowing hair.

this is my favorite image of the day...

LOVE how their hands are interlocked. so sweet.

and this image is just all about baby.

I do not know how they are not finding out boy or girl. That would drive me insane! But we will all find out in a few short weeks...and baby [M] will make an appearance right here!

WHY I HAVE WORKED SO HARD [Monica Brown, Pensacola Photographer]

I totally feel like THIS SESSION is why I have practiced, been frustrated, practiced more, and finally understood my "calling"...

What seems like a long time ago, I was a student at the [magnificent] University of Alabama. Busting my butt. Trying my best to be the smartest person I could be. Earning my degree in Chemical Engineering.

Then one weekend, I met Jake Brown. My PERSON. The ONE to make my life what it should be. And here is his sister. The one he shared his life with before me.

My desire to become a professional photographer (instead of a professional nerd) seems as if it was all meant for her.

These images of [R] pregnant with baby [B] take my breath away. Call it conceited, but I think these are the most beautiful images EVER. [R] and [J] (and ME) can't WAIT to meet baby [B].

To know he is THIS CLOSE. That I can FEEL and see him move amazes me.

[R] and [J] - you are about to experience what life has to offer. To become parents. To be responsible for a human life.

You will be fantastic :)

I couldn't even make these into a collage. I felt that each should be separate. Different. And to top it all off, [R] sat on a CACTUS before these last photos. One with LONG spines. LONG. Like an inch or MORE. She just stood up, pulled them out of her [hiney] and we proceeded. I think, personally, I might have cried... It looked painful. Butt [pun intended], she assured me she was fine. :)

So any day now, i will be an AUNT, again.

And I couldn't be happier.

GETTING READY FOR BABY(part 2) [Monica Brown, Pensacola Photographer]

I just couldn't wait to post these images from Sunday's session.

They make my heart sing.

I will post LOTS more soon...when I find time to edit...but for now, here is just a tiny sample of this GORGEOUS couple...soon to be FAMILY.

GETTING READY FOR BABY(part 1) [Monica Brown, Pensacola Photographer]

The weather this weekend was WONDERFUL! I really hope everyone had an opportunity to enjoy it. We were all outdoors almost the entire time.

Other than playing outside with Reagan and Luke and soaking in the sun and their laughter, my favorite thing this weekend was the maternity session for my sister and brother in law. They will become parents any day now!!!!

While they were getting ready for the shoot, I snapped a few pics of the nursery.

[I knew if I didn't edit them first, I would never do it since the session at Ft. Pickens was simply AMAZING.]

All ready for baby.

this simply beautiful bedding can be found at The Land of Nod.

almost done!

Dad's hero is Spidey. Glad he could make an appearance.

Soon, happy little noises will fill this space.

I can't wait.

FROM THREE TO FOUR [Monica Brown, Pensacola Photographer]

This was just a spectacular day!  I don't think it could have turned out any better.

Here is the [G] family just hanging out at the water's edge.

I was so excited to shoot my first outdoor "maternity" session.

And check out this monkey.  When I asked mom if he was a good climber, she replied, "It is a well know fact."  :)

This was the story of the day...

I think the handle at the edge of this photograph is so necessary.  Little [G] was sure there was a man behind those big doors, and he was determined to find him!  No picture taking for him, he had business to take care of.  That is until mommy and daddy were having a moment alone without him.  Check out his movement!  (And the shutter speed was 1/200 sec!!)

(oh, and this could totally be a 10x20!)

And then there were three.

Soon to be four.

Oh I just can't wait to meet the littlest [G]!! I certainly hope I get to do some newborn shots!!!  Congratulations [J] and [J]!!!

IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE

All a-glow.

That is how I would describe [A].
It is so wonderful to see an expectant mother so full of joy and so in love with her family. I had a fantastic time shooting [A] and her soon to be expanding family. Little [R]'s giggles still echo in my studio ;)

It was almost impossible for me to narrow my favorites down to a few to post to the blog. I will be finished with your entire gallery soon!

I can't wait to meet the new baby!
