MY NEWEST MUSE

I'll say it again, Congratulations!

It was my pleasure to conduct little M's first photo shoot :)  Seeing as he is my best friend's son, you will be seeing much more of him as I plan to keep his family stocked with photos!  (And maybe talk his mom into starting that photography business...)

Here he is...only 4 days old!!!!

( another side note:  This posting is late due to technical difficulties that still persist in this post.  Hence, the large and small images.  Hey, I'm a camera person, not a computer person!)

What a lovely family.

Just look at how his big brother Z adores him and vise versa.
They are going to be quite the pair.

Good night sweetheart...

WELCOME LITTLE ONE

I had the pleasure of meeting little Mr. N yesterday.  What a sweetheart!  Mom and Dad, he is going to be quite the heartbreaker.  Tall, lots of dark hair (can you believe his beautiful hair?!?) and very handsome.  He ate up the attention.  All open eye pics for this handsome guy!  This is the first ever newborn session I have done where the little one didn't give out before me!

Remember guys, if you get 25 comments (below) on your session you will receive a FREE PRINT! So start spreading the word that your handsome guy is picture perfect!

( and as a side note, yes, I realize I have still not fixed the problem with my blog cutting off the right side of my landscape portraits.  Any computer whizzes know how to fix that?)

Congratulations again!!

FB addict

HI.  I am Monica Brown and I am a Facebook addict.

I cannot believe how much fun this is!  I have found friends all over the world!  (Thank you Michelle H for making that possible...and have fun in Guam).  I am hearing from friends I have not connected with in YEARS.  I have to admit that I have had 2 children, changed jobs and moved in 2 years, but this is freakin' fantastic to talk to my buds!  I think I really needed to catch up with the 21st century...and it is all thanks to M.P. !  Thanks girl!  You may actually make me miss Washington!

On the move tomorrow to take some rockin' newborn pics of Max.  Watch for a new post Monday!

BACK IN THE SWING OF THINGS

Since it was raining last Friday (and just to make sure nothing was broken in the move), I got out the studio lights and played around with the kids.

If you ever try to take photos of your own kids, you will understand how they refuse to face any way but backward when you are trying to get a shot.

Thinking all was lost, I downloaded the images from our "session" only to find that I love most all of them! I'm not a 'pose and smile at the camera' kinda gal so I just LOVE these!  In fact, there are so many that I posted only a few here and have made a gallery out of the rest!

If you would like to view our fun afternoon, go to the website's *client* page and enter the password:  kiddos

Screaming color was necessary for this one.  Reagan loves to CHEESE!

That's my girl

If she's not facing backward, I get her back side!

Luke is 5 1/2 months old now.  What a sweet boy...

And this one I just had to post for my sister, Sylvia.  If it were not for her, I would have zero photos of me growing up.  She is the one who is responsible for my photo addiction.  I always remember her with a camera and she took all of my favorite baby pics.

Mom took a few, but I think my head is missing in some..

When I edited this photo to this soft look, it looked just like all of the photos of my childhood.  If my scanner worked with my mac (grrr) I would upload my very favorite pic of me on my front step with my arms up in the air, as if to say "Look at me!"

Thank you Sylvia for so many wonderful memories.

Awww, what a happy boy!

And what session would be complete without the breakdown?

Get him off of me mommy!
&
What's the matter with her?

Luckily, Daddy was close by for the rescue :)

BEACH DAYS

It was wonderful weather this weekend so we took advantage. Here are some snapshots...

Reagan and Daddy searching for shells

Luke after all of the excitement

We look forward to many more weekends like this.

Also, now is the perfect time for beach photos.  Not too hot, not too cold, just the right amount of sunshine.  Let me know if you are interested.

WANNA GO OUTSIDE, MOMMY?

(Let me preface this by saying I am practicing posting these large pics. I realize part of the 2nd pic is "missing" so I will have to make adjustments to my blog somehow. Since I am not a computer person, this may take a while to fix. Bear with me!)

Why yes, darling!  Last week was amazing.  Tuesday, on my 30th birthday, it was about 75 degrees outside.  So what did we do???  Let's go to the park!  The weather was unbelievable.

Here are a couple of snapshots I took of us playing in the yard on Thursday. Can you believe this is what we wore?  A total change of attire!!  A hat and gloves were needed!

This shot of me and Luke I took myself by looking at our reflection in the lens :)

Reagan in action...will have to wait. I'm having trouble posting this pic. I'll try adding it again tomorrow!
