DADDY'S AIRPLANE [Monica Brown, Pensacola Photographer]

Ohhhhh, I love Florida.

I have missed my Southern winds (which as of this moment are bringing the mouth-watering smells of smoked bbq ribs from my neighbor's house).

I sound more southern now than I have in years.  And it is only going to get worse :)

This weekend has been beautiful.  The temperature is perfect.  The skies are clear.  I could add more adjectives...

To the point, this Friday Jake took me, Reagan and his dad (known around here as Grandpa) to see  THE BLUES fly...or so we thought. Me, Jake, Reagan and Grandpa along with lots of other people walked out to the flightline to see the show. We didn't quite get to see what we came for, but an interesting show nonetheless.

Red, yellow, GREEN! We got to see a Corvette racing the F-18 Hornet!  I would have tried to take pics...but there really wasn't a contest.  You might guess who won.  The second time I might have been able to get them both in the same shot, but how was I to know they would give the Corvette a head start?  He still lost, but at least it was more interesting.

After the "show" I got to do what I came to do - take pics of "Daddy's airplane."  I wish Luke could have been in them too, but he wasn't feeling well so Grandma stayed at home with him.  We'll try again next time.

The T-6.  A big (small?) change from the C-17.

Jake is flying for the Navy while we are based in Pensacola.  It is really interesting for me to learn the new lingo and some of aspects of Navy life from the wives (who are super great I might add!)

It's gonna be LOUD!

Oh, and GREAT NEWS!

Jake gets promoted to MAJOR May 1st!!!

------------------------------------------------------------------

With tomorrow being Easter, be sure you will see pics soon.  Grandma handmade Reagan a smocked dress (BEAUTIFUL!).  I am also going to attempt to get a family shot of us...so I will post them once they're done!

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!

"And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.
"He is not here: for he is risen, as he said."

Matthew 28:6-7
